Preamble

The use of radio frequency as a medium for carrying information for various industrial applications has grown due to its ease and efficiency. After industry 4.0 guidelines momentum has shifted from safety to security. Use of Radio Frequency in various application domains ranging from industries to Govt. communication. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has revolutionised the use of RF and this may cause various unwanted issues which may require a framework to secure the data transmission with little or no cost. The following specification particularly describes the invention and how it is to be performed.

Claims


1. A software-based approach for authenticated encrypted radio communication
2. Utilizes a low computational power and provides high security making the framework resource effective
3. Implementation is targeted for radio communication infrastructures such as radio base stations and handheld devices
4. The Challenge-Response Pair Database is constructed by using a strong physically unclonable function
